Creative, curious, collaborative mid-level engineer seeking meaningful, high-impact work

I didn’t take a traditional path into tech — before I was an engineer, I was a classical cellist. That training shaped how I work: I bring creativity, discipline, and a deep respect for collaboration to every project. I transitioned into software engineering in 2019 and have since built a career I’m proud of.

In that time, I’ve supported millions of users through scalable backend APIs, revamped complex international systems, and led critical infrastructure work at an early-stage health startup. I’ve worked across the stack using Python, PHP, AWS, and more — but more importantly, I’ve sought out roles where I can do meaningful work with real-world impact. At Ovia Health, I built IVF features to better serve LGBTQ+ families. I’ve mentored early-career developers, co-chaired a DEI&B council, and spoken at conferences like php[tek].

I’m driven by curiosity, care, and a commitment to doing things well. I love figuring out how things work, making them better, and helping others along the way. I’m looking for teams and missions that align with my values — where thoughtful engineering, inclusivity, and purpose aren’t just buzzwords, but a way of working.
