Technical leader and software engineer driven to deliver innovative technical solutions to real-world problems

My experience across the full software lifecycle enables me to deliver products with strategic value. With over 15 years of architecting and developing scalable solutions across enterprise and startup environments, my experience is diverse, yet deep in a few stacks. I've immersed and delivered results in varying environment from building serverless AWS architectures at Prologis and Ally Financial, to microservice migrations at Accenture, to ground-up SaaS platforms. My current work at NextKourt (AI-native platform enabling Parks & Recreation departments to run unstaffed venues autonomously) involves leading product strategy, design, and engineering. Building a platform from scratch has sharpened my ability across the stack: product strategy to architecture to DevOps. My last corporate role was a Technical Lead at Prologis, leading a scrum team, and delivering a centralized documentation repository within the Prologis Customer Portal, driving 200 new user registrations. A recent passion of mine is AI development workflows, particularly in discovering areas where AI excels at augmenting developers, and areas devs need to proceed with caution. Recently built a complete Claude Code automation workflow that orchestrates the full feature development lifecycle: Jira integrated spec planning, implementation, Playwright driven UAT, PR generation, code review, and issue transitions. It's cut my development cycles by roughly 40%, and changed the way I ship software. Where I'm most at home is with taking complex business problems and turning them into clean, scalable, and value-driven systems. My sweet spot is in architecting distributed systems, and robust APIs and services. Technology stacks: NodeJS/TS, .NET/C#, Laravel/PHP. I'm looking for part-time or fractional opportunities (10 - 20 hours per week) to apply my leadership and engineering. If you need someone who can own tracks end-to-end, from stakeholder alignment to engineering to delivery, let's talk.

I turn broken systems into intelligent platforms that scale without breaking people.

My path began in 2006, building APIs in spare rooms around college while studying marketing and computer science. The education came from watching systems fail from human disconnection, not technical flaws. I learned that elegant code means nothing if people can't trust it, use it, or build on it. That insight shaped everything. At Jack Automation, I built PropTech's first AI-native platform to speak three languages because property management happens in English, Spanish, and French. The system understood context, not commands. TechCrunch called us a Top AI Startup. What mattered more: 15,000 homes operating without manual intervention. What makes me different is systems thinking. Where others see technical debt, I see architectural opportunity. At HGR Industrial Surplus, the board recruited me to fix a post-M&A technology freeze. Instead of patching problems, I rebuilt the foundation: AI-powered pricing eliminated manual input, product intelligence classified over 30,000 SKUs automatically, and infrastructure lifted EBITDA by 5% in 90 days. At Insight's $10B platform, I embedded GenAI into microservices before standard practice. The quantum-logic pricing engine became the template that other divisions adopted globally. I operate between the possible and the practical. My systems persist through acquisitions (EY still uses frameworks I built at Advanced Mankind), influence government infrastructure (El Salvador adopted our blockchain architecture), and scale without breaking teams. The differentiator? I build for humans who inherit my work. Clean architecture, thorough documentation explaining the rationale, and systems that teach rather than obscure. When I leave, platforms thrive. I solve today's problems while eliminating tomorrow's. This happens when you combine technical execution with systems thinking, human psychology, and business architecture. Code works. Teams grow. Platforms endure. The future needs systems that scale with intelligence, not processing power. That intersection—where AI meets human capability, where architecture enables autonomy—that's where I build.

I discovered I was a software developer / engineer / architect while working in my first tech job as a software test automation specialist for CorTechs, Inc. I was on a supposedly short training gig at the "Mashantucket Piquot Tribal Nation," also known as "FoxWoods Casino & Resorts," in Connecticut, where I discovered immediatly that I was in a proper pickle: the Mercury sales people who sold them $250K worth of test automation tools didn't verify that the Terminal Emulator add in actually worked with the customer's terminal emulator, which they were not willing to change. Somehow I cobbled together a bridge between the emulator and WinRunner with the add-in, writing C++ DLLs and a kind of debugger that allowed me to implement about 65% of the HLLAPI interface required for basic record-replay simulation. It took me a few months, but I saved that account for Mercury, and from that point on was much more interested in coding solutions to hard problems than merely testing. While still at CorTechs, I eventually created an almost-patented approach to "gray box" testing that allowed unit test-level "white box" data to be obtained during functional regression "black box" testing by patching the running memory image of the application with "probes" written in a superset of C using debug information. It was intended to become part of the Mercury Suite - WinRunner, LoadRunner, etc.- so we called it ProbeRunner. Since then I've had many opportunities to expand my skills and even had a chance at Apex Data Solutions to build a data federation platform for the VA that became known as VistA.js, named after their famous EHR that they keep for some reason trying (unsuccessfully) to kill. Our project was just about to go to national roll-out when they halted all VistA-related development to try to transition to Cerner, on the theory that just using the same software as the DOD would give them interoperability (which they didn't have with 135+ instances of VistA running at all their medical centers, but I digress). $13B dollars later they appear to be giving up on that, and accepting VistA's continued existence, again. Anyway. My superpower is synthesis: getting two things that ought not work together to behave as if they were one. I am also a polyglot, in real human languages as well as programming languages.

Developer Origin Story My passion for coding ignited during my college days when I discovered the power of Java. I was fascinated by its versatility, platform independence, and robust ecosystem. After graduating, I joined a leading software firm in India and immersed myself in building enterprise-grade applications, honing my skills with each project. Recent Milestone Four years back, I spearheaded the development of a cutting-edge microservices architecture for a global banking leader in the USA. Leveraging Spring Boot, microservices, and reactive programming, we achieved unprecedented scalability and resilience, handling over 10 million requests per minute with sub-millisecond latency. Continuous Learning I recently delved into the realm of machine learning and deep learning, exploring how Java can integrate with frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. This has opened up exciting possibilities for building intelligent systems that can learn from data and make accurate predictions. Passion for Performance Optimization What truly drives me is the pursuit of optimal performance. I thrive on identifying bottlenecks, profiling code, and implementing innovative solutions to squeeze out every ounce of efficiency. Whether it's tuning garbage collection, leveraging low-level concurrency primitives, or employing advanced caching strategies, I'm passionate about delivering lightning-fast experiences. Unique Value Proposition My unique blend of deep technical expertise and business acumen sets me apart. I excel at translating complex requirements into elegant, maintainable code that aligns with organizational goals. I'm also adept at mentoring junior developers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Awesome Skills Mastery of Java ecosystem (Spring, Hibernate, JVM internals, concurrency) Proficient in modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, reactive) Expertise in performance optimization and low-latency system design Skilled in DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, cloud deployment) Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Effective communication and collaboration skills With over two decades of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a relentless drive for excellence to every project. I'm excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible with Java full-stack development and delivering innovative solutions that drive business success.
