From sketchbook to codebase — 10+ years shipping things that matter.

I didn't start my career staring at a terminal — I started with a sketchbook. After studying illustration and industrial design at Kendall College of Art and Design and Ringling College, I found myself drawn less to the canvas and more to the craft of how things are built. The same instinct that made me obsess over composition, proportion, and user experience in art turned out to translate perfectly to frontend engineering. Code, it turns out, is just another medium — and I've been pushing its limits ever since. Over the last decade-plus I've grown from building responsive marketing sites into leading large-scale platform engineering at Deloitte, where I work at the intersection of frontend architecture, delivery operations, and AI-assisted tooling. I've shipped enterprise React applications, designed automation pipelines that replaced hours of manual work with a single command, and turned chaotic multi-repo environments into well-documented, auditable systems that teams can actually trust. Some recent highlights: 🚀 Led cps-process-automation, an end-to-end workflow automation initiative that reduced manual processing, improved SLA adherence, and gave stakeholders real-time visibility into operational runs 🔧 Drove 30+ repository modernization across Project Omnia — coordinating dependency upgrades, PR waves, and release execution in Azure DevOps with zero dropped balls 🤖 Built AI-driven automation tools that streamlined CI/CD, PR validation, and testing workflows — shipping faster without sacrificing quality 📚 Converted tribal knowledge into reusable SOPs and operational playbooks that improved onboarding, reduced execution variance, and made audit season a lot less painful Where I can help where others can't? I'm the rare engineer who thinks like a designer, documents like a tech writer, and automates like someone who really hates doing the same thing twice. I bridge the gap between technical execution and human workflows — whether that means partnering with designers in Figma, translating ambiguous business requirements into production-ready systems, or just making sure the team actually understands what shipped and why. If you need someone who can own a project from whiteboard to production and leave the codebase better than they found it — let's talk.

Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer - 25+ years in tech, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Datadog. Currently seeking remote or Tampa Bay hybrid roles.

I've been in technology since 1996, starting with building and selling PCs and working my way through every layer of the stack. For the last 7+ years I've focused on DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure automation. Most recently I spent 4.5 years as the sole infrastructure engineer at a banking SaaS company, where I owned the full stack for 87 customers and $5M in annual revenue. The work I'm most proud of from that role: I built a Datadog observability stack from scratch where no application visibility existed before, automated customer onboarding from an 8-hour manual process down to under an hour, and led the migration from on-premises hosting to AWS that supported 117% customer growth without adding infrastructure headcount. I also held a VP of Engineering title at the prior company, so I'm comfortable leading teams as well as building systems. My core stack is AWS, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Datadog. I've done cloud migrations, cost optimization (50% infrastructure reduction), CI/CD pipeline design, database administration, security compliance (SOC 2, pen test remediation), and operational documentation at scale. I'm looking for senior DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles - remote or Tampa Bay hybrid. I'm drawn to teams where infrastructure ownership is real, not bureaucratic, and where the engineer closest to the problem has the authority to fix it. I bring 25+ years of doing exactly that.

I turn broken systems into intelligent platforms that scale without breaking people.

Python

My path began in 2006, building APIs in spare rooms around college while studying marketing and computer science. The education came from watching systems fail from human disconnection, not technical flaws. I learned that elegant code means nothing if people can't trust it, use it, or build on it. That insight shaped everything. At Jack Automation, I built PropTech's first AI-native platform to speak three languages because property management happens in English, Spanish, and French. The system understood context, not commands. TechCrunch called us a Top AI Startup. What mattered more: 15,000 homes operating without manual intervention. What makes me different is systems thinking. Where others see technical debt, I see architectural opportunity. At HGR Industrial Surplus, the board recruited me to fix a post-M&A technology freeze. Instead of patching problems, I rebuilt the foundation: AI-powered pricing eliminated manual input, product intelligence classified over 30,000 SKUs automatically, and infrastructure lifted EBITDA by 5% in 90 days. At Insight's $10B platform, I embedded GenAI into microservices before standard practice. The quantum-logic pricing engine became the template that other divisions adopted globally. I operate between the possible and the practical. My systems persist through acquisitions (EY still uses frameworks I built at Advanced Mankind), influence government infrastructure (El Salvador adopted our blockchain architecture), and scale without breaking teams. The differentiator? I build for humans who inherit my work. Clean architecture, thorough documentation explaining the rationale, and systems that teach rather than obscure. When I leave, platforms thrive. I solve today's problems while eliminating tomorrow's. This happens when you combine technical execution with systems thinking, human psychology, and business architecture. Code works. Teams grow. Platforms endure. The future needs systems that scale with intelligence, not processing power. That intersection—where AI meets human capability, where architecture enables autonomy—that's where I build.
