My journey as a developer has always been about solving meaningful problems—turning abstract ideas into tangible, impactful solutions. Whether it was building EdPoint, a peer-to-peer learning platform, or developing Trivia.ai, an AI-powered tool for active learning, I’ve always gravitated toward projects that bridge gaps and empower users. Building a Community of Learners – EdPoint During my undergraduate years, I often found myself in informal study groups, exchanging knowledge with friends—teaching them concepts I had mastered while learning topics they were proficient in. These interactions were some of the most effective and rewarding learning experiences, but they were limited to small circles. This led me to EdPoint, a platform designed to scale peer-to-peer learning across an entire university. Using a matching algorithm, it connected students who wanted to learn a skill with those who could teach it. Whether it was Python, Photoshop, or a complex engineering subject, EdPoint ensured that no student had to struggle alone. As the team leader and technical lead, I designed the platform’s architecture and implemented its core features, bringing this vision to life. Seeing students connect, collaborate, and grow reinforced my belief that technology isn't just about writing code—it’s about empowering people. Revolutionizing Learning with AI – Trivia.ai In graduate school, I noticed another challenge: students often passively consume lecture slides but struggle with retention. That’s when I set out to create Trivia.ai, an AI-powered tool that transforms lecture content into quizzes and flashcards for active learning. Leveraging Google’s PaLM2 LLM model and Vertex API, my team developed a system that could take any document—lecture slides, research papers, transcripts—and instantly generate interactive study material. Built on a serverless architecture in Google Cloud, it ensured scalability and real-time processing. What excites me most about Trivia.ai is its potential to change how people learn—making education more interactive, personalized, and effective. Why I Stand Out What makes me unique as a developer is my ability to identify real-world problems and craft solutions that make a difference. I don’t just write code—I design systems, architect scalable solutions, and think deeply about the user experience. Whether it's leveraging AI for learning, optimizing frontend interfaces, or automating workflows, I focus on impact and efficiency. Beyond development, I thrive on collaboration and knowledge-sharing—mentoring, contributing to open-source, and learning from others. My goal is to build scalable, user-centric software that doesn't just work but transforms the way people interact with technology. Let’s build cool stuff together and make things happen! 🚀

Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer - 25+ years in tech, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Datadog. Currently seeking remote or Tampa Bay hybrid roles.

Terraform

I've been in technology since 1996, starting with building and selling PCs and working my way through every layer of the stack. For the last 7+ years I've focused on DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure automation. Most recently I spent 4.5 years as the sole infrastructure engineer at a banking SaaS company, where I owned the full stack for 87 customers and $5M in annual revenue. The work I'm most proud of from that role: I built a Datadog observability stack from scratch where no application visibility existed before, automated customer onboarding from an 8-hour manual process down to under an hour, and led the migration from on-premises hosting to AWS that supported 117% customer growth without adding infrastructure headcount. I also held a VP of Engineering title at the prior company, so I'm comfortable leading teams as well as building systems. My core stack is AWS, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Datadog. I've done cloud migrations, cost optimization (50% infrastructure reduction), CI/CD pipeline design, database administration, security compliance (SOC 2, pen test remediation), and operational documentation at scale. I'm looking for senior DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles - remote or Tampa Bay hybrid. I'm drawn to teams where infrastructure ownership is real, not bureaucratic, and where the engineer closest to the problem has the authority to fix it. I bring 25+ years of doing exactly that.

Frontend-focused full-stack developer specializing in React, APIs, and real-world SaaS systems

I’m a frontend-focused full-stack developer who got into software engineering through a background in design. I started in graphic design and UI work, which gave me a strong foundation in user experience, and then transitioned into building full applications so I could bring ideas to life end-to-end. That combination of design + engineering is a big part of how I approach development today—I care just as much about how something works as how it feels to use. Recently, I built a full-stack eCommerce platform called “Sparkle Bows” as a real-world system, not just a portfolio project. I developed a React frontend and a Node.js/Express backend with MongoDB, and integrated services like Stripe for payments and Shippo for shipping automation. I implemented JWT and OAuth authentication, built product and order management systems, and handled real-world challenges like syncing data across multiple APIs, debugging edge cases, and ensuring reliable user flows from checkout to fulfillment. That experience strengthened my ability to think through systems, not just individual features. I enjoy working on products where I can contribute across the stack—building clean, responsive UIs, integrating APIs, and making sure everything works reliably in production. I’m especially interested in roles where I can collaborate closely with product and design, ship meaningful features, and continue growing in a fast-paced environment. What sets me apart is that I don’t just write code—I think in terms of the full user journey and business impact, and I’m comfortable jumping into problems wherever they exist to get things working end-to-end.

Staff-level full-stack engineer (React, TypeScript, Node) who thrives in early-stage startups, shipping fast, owning product end-to-end, and turning messy ideas into scalable systems.

I’ve spent most of my career operating as a “get it done” engineer at the edges of ambiguity. I’m not the kind of developer who needs everything perfectly defined up front. I actually prefer messy problems, vague ideas, and early-stage products where nothing is fully figured out yet. That’s where I do my best work: turning rough concepts into real, usable systems that people can depend on. I’ve worked across the stack for years, primarily with React, TypeScript, and Node, but what really sets me apart is product ownership. I don’t just build tickets, I think in terms of outcomes. I’ve led and contributed to systems where I was responsible for everything from architecture and API design to UX decisions and performance. I care a lot about building things that are not just functional, but clean, scalable, and actually enjoyable to use. Lately, I’ve been leaning heavily into AI-augmented development workflows, using tools to move faster without sacrificing quality. It’s changed how I build, prototype, and iterate, especially in startup-style environments where speed matters but you can’t afford to rack up garbage tech debt. I’m also actively building my own products, which keeps me grounded in real-world constraints like cost, usability, and shipping pressure. What I bring to a team is the ability to take ownership of a problem end-to-end and push it across the finish line. I’m comfortable wearing multiple hats, making decisions with incomplete information, and moving quickly without things falling apart later. If you need someone who can step into a scrappy environment and start delivering real value immediately, that’s where I shine.

Java Backend Engineer with 2.6 years of enterprise experience who genuinely enjoys the moment a hard problem clicks. Not just understanding it — but building something that fixes it, and watching other people benefit from that fix. That loop of learning, building, and seeing real impact is what keeps me going. My foundation is in enterprise backend systems — Spring Boot, Kafka, microservices, the kind of infrastructure where getting it wrong has real consequences. At Cognizant I worked in mobile banking, where I rebuilt a loan approval pipeline that was leaving 10,000+ users waiting four days for a decision. After redesigning it with Kafka and an embedded Python ML service, that dropped to 24 hours. I also cut AWS infrastructure costs by 40% through JVM tuning and batch job optimization — not by scaling up, but by actually diagnosing the problem. Beyond the technical depth, I've stepped into leadership as a Pod Captain — and I find just as much challenge in unblocking a team as I do in debugging a system. We all hit small friction points every day, and I genuinely enjoy turning something I've learned into a tool that removes one of them for good. What excites me most right now is applied AI and GCP — not as trends to follow, but as practical layers that make production systems smarter. I've fine-tuned BERT models, built FastAPI inference services, and integrated ML directly into production pipelines. I recently completed my Master's in Computer Science at Cal State San Bernardino with a 3.9 GPA, which deepened my conviction that the best engineering quietly makes someone's day easier. I'm based in Orlando, open to Tampa Bay opportunities, and at my best when the problem is messy enough that most people would rather avoid it.
