Description

I’m a developer drawn to the crossroads of geospatial technology and data solutions, a path that started at Berea College where my GIS coursework first hooked me on mapping out complex problems. That interest deepened when I began exploring Python and JavaScript, leading me to build a public-access application with React.js and the US Census API during my Master’s at University of Kentucky. It was a hands-on learning experience that sharpened my focus on crafting tools with potential for real-world impact.

What makes me stand out is my blend of persistence and practicality. At LandTech, I streamlined ETL workflows with AWS and Python to keep data flowing smoothly, while also proposing a switch to open-source demographic data that I demonstrated would save £7,000 annually. I thrive on digging into new skills—like using GeoPandas for spatial analysis or refining SQL for data work—and I bring a collaborative streak from working with varied teams.

Looking ahead, I am excited to contribute my mix of GIS expertise and full-stack development (React.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, PostGIS) to established teams where I can continue to grow, lean on documented processes, and support clear, long-term goals.
