I worked in logistics all my life, and it seemed like a good fit. Moving things around and getting items to people is fun and satisfying. It looked like an appropriate choice to get a formal education in the field as well. I even got a master’s degree in supply chain management. Shipping products to customers during COVID was even more satisfying. When I was at the distribution center, we had to manually enter a lot of data that was prone to error. It was bugging me a lot, so I figured it should be automated. Because of my "how hard can it be gene" (it’s a real thing, trust me), I turned to my trusted friend Google to see what programming language I should use to get it done.
I landed on Python. Oh boy, the moment I dove into my first coding tutorial, it was like stepping into a realm of pure enchantment. I was so fascinated by the projects and the multitude of problems that can be solved through code. There was a lot to learn, but I was able to quickly learn new skills and concepts. My problem-solving self was more than happy that I ended up on this path. The course not only included Turtle and Pandas but also Jinja and Flask.
The web development experience inspired me to start a Full Stack Web Developer course where I was able to get HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js, Material UI, Handlebars, MySQL, jQuery, and Apollo alongside Git/GitHub under my belt. Since then, I have learned about WordPress and PHP and obtained an AWS Cloud Computing Specialist Certificate. Currently, I’m pursuing a Computer Science degree. I'm enthusiastic about learning new frameworks and languages that cater to my creativity and allow me to create products that look amazing on desktop and mobile as well.
