Fresh, fresh, fresh! I am new to the development world but eager to begin this journey!

Reach for the sky!

That is exactly what I said 6 months ago when I decided to transition from esthetician to software developer. I have incorporated Android, iOS and Microsoft Office products in my career, but never thought I would have an interest in how they all WORK. I was introduced to SheCodes in 2021 where I took a basic coding workshop, opening my world to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I loved it, but I was also not ready to close my business, Aesthetic Haven Skin Studio, which I worked so hard for! On the back burner my new career was to wait...until summer of 2023.

SheCodes offers many different workshops ranging from the basic class to the React Front-End Developer Certification, which I will have completed at the end of 2023. I went for it and have fully enjoyed every step of the way. I dream about development! Literally. I have submerged my brain in workshops, books, webinars, training sessions and another development workshop offered through IBM. I have the desire and drive to become a powerhouse developer!

Besides receiving my Front-End certification, I will also obtain a Full-Stack Certification from IBM through the Pathway Initiative MicroBachelors Program. I was awarded a scholarship and actively attending the self-paced module program. I graduate in March 2024.

I am motivated, eager and ambitious. I will be available for work January 2024. I am ready for this new and exciting career path!
