I'm Diego Antolinez, a dedicated software engineer based in Tampa, FL, originally from Venezuela. My journey in technology has equipped me with a strong foundation in languages like Java, Golang, Python, and JavaScript. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with leading organizations such as Kin + Carta and USAA, where I was instrumental in modernizing legacy systems into scalable microservices architectures. This transformation not only improved processing times but also significantly enhanced the overall customer experience.

One of my proudest achievements was implementing RESTful APIs and Kafka eventing to modernize the life insurance application process, which elevated customer experience and streamlined application processing time by 25%. Additionally, I've engineered seamless local database integrations and implemented various RESTful APIs that have streamlined processes and boosted efficiency across multiple projects.

Beyond my professional work, I'm actively involved in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). As the Vice President of Marketing since May 2019, I spearheaded a rebranding campaign that significantly increased event attendance by creating consistent marketing materials and a dynamic social media presence. I also coordinated with faculty to reserve venues for workshops, BBQs with industry professionals, and our Hackabull event. Previously, as the Vice President of Technology from May 2018 to May 2019, I managed all aspects of the Second Hack-A-Bull, collaborating with sponsors and the executive board to accommodate 200 attendees and develop professional events that helped students build their technical portfolios.

My expertise extends to cloud technologies, including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka. I thrive in Agile and DevOps environments, where I can deliver high-quality software solutions that align with business goals. My background from Venezuela has instilled in me a strong work ethic and a passion for continuous learning, ensuring that I stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
