Systems-minded software engineer
Private informationDescription
I’m an early-career software engineer who enjoys building systems that deal with real-world data, real users, and real consequences. I didn’t get into software just to write code — I got into it to understand how complex systems work end-to-end and make them more reliable, faster, and easier for people to use.
In my current role, I’ve worked on large, production systems where accuracy and performance matter. I’ve built and improved backend services, designed database scripts and validation logic to protect data integrity, and shipped enterprise features used by election officials and operations teams. One of my biggest milestones was delivering a major system feature that significantly reduced processing time and manual effort while supporting customer-requested data views and workflows.
What sets me apart is how I approach problems: I like owning features from idea to deployment, digging into ambiguous requirements, and working directly with stakeholders to deliver exactly what they need. I’ve also spent time helping customers and internal teams troubleshoot data issues, extract specific datasets, and understand system behavior — which has made me a more thoughtful engineer and communicator.
I’m passionate about building software that scales, stays maintainable, and actually helps people do their jobs better. I’m always learning — whether that’s improving my system design skills, writing cleaner SQL, or understanding how production systems behave under real constraints — and I’m excited to keep growing as an engineer who can be trusted with important problems.
