Eager, team player, determined

I have a very diverse background, from growing up in a poor neighborhood and knowing what struggle looked like to joining the Marine Corps when I was 17 and getting the opportunity to travel the world. I left the Marine Corps in search of more adventures and knew from working with technology in the military I wanted to know more. I went to University for two years of a Computer Science Engineering Degree before leaving to join the Police Department because I wanted to still help make a difference in the world.

After six years and moving departments I realized I was not going to be able to effectively help people in that role and wanted to go back to my first calling after the military and enrolled in a coding bootcamp. I was giving a chance by a company with an internship where I have continued to improve my coding skills as well as my adaptation to "civilized" life.

I have a unique background and drive to help other people, whether it is a co-worker struggling with a concept or the customer who needs someone to take the extra time to help them. I have a history of teaching and educating as well as spending my entire life trying to improve my own knowledge.
